Welcome to the 2022 - 2023 school year! I am Mrs. Begum and I am your child's Kindergarten teacher. I am looking forward to an exciting year!
School Hours: Kindergarten
School begins promptly at 8:15 A.M. and ends at 3:15 P.M. Please drop off and pick up your child at the door #8 assigned for Kindergarten students. Please encourage your child to wear a mask during school hours and wash hands with soap and water.
Theme: Theme of the month is All About Me!
Attendance:
A successful school experience is the responsibility of the children, the parent, and the school. I believe that it is best for the students’ individual needs to have the parents and teachers working together.
I will always contact you by phone if there is a situation to be discussed. Please make sure that I have an email and a phone number to reach you at all times. This year my students can access the RAZ-KIDS website with the classroom ID bhumera. Students click their names and passwords to log in to read and listen to as many books they can. After reading they can follow the activities for each story.
Our goal is to build stamina for reading and follow the Daily Five routine to continue reading to self, word work, listening to reading, writing about reading, and reading to someone. Following are useful websites for kids to practice reading and phonics skills.
